Q: Does Camille need a SIM card to function?

A: Camille is WiFi capable, but we recommend pairing it with a SIM card for the best results - that way you will be able to contact and track your child 24/7.

Q: What SIM card works for Camille™?

A: Camille is compatible with Nano SIM cards, so make sure you use the right one.

You can use any carrier of your liking (most of our US customers like going with AT&T).

Q: Can you make calls with the smartwatch?

A: Camille works just like a smartphone, so any active SIM card with a phone line data plan will allow for voice calling.

For video calling, please select the 4G model of the watch and pair with a 4G SIM card.

Q: Are there any monthly fees for Camille™?

A: No monthly fees required for the watch to function. Please check with your preferred carrier for cell phone plans. Ensure you get a new, independent phone number for the watch and NOT a "wearables" or "add-on" plan to an existing number.

Q: How do I know if my Camille™ is ONLINE or OFFLINE?

A: If your Camille™ is properly connected to cellular data your watch face along the top will have at least one bar and the oval connection icon in the middle should be highlighted in white.

**T-Mobile customers will see either a 2G, 3G, or 4G LTE stamp along the top as well. The area in which you live determines the strength of the cellular data.

If you have your Camille™ connected to your local WiFi network with a connected SIM card your watch face along the top will have at least one bar, you will see the WiFi icon and the oval connection icon in the middle should be highlighted in white.

If your SIM card is not working or you are not using one but are connected to WiFi, then there will not be any bars but you should see the WiFi icon and the oval icon must be highlighted in white.

If the oval connection icon is in grey than you are not connected to WiFi or cellular data.

Q: How long does the Camille™battery last?

A: It's about 48 hours. Depending on the network signal in your area, there will be differences in the area where the signal is poor, and the battery life will be shorter because the searching signal will consume more power. In general, the Camille™ battery life varies by use, configuration, cellular network, signal strength, and many other factors; actual results will vary.

Q: How Do I Update the Camille™ Operating System (COS)?

A: Connect to the WiFi and make sure your Camille™ is charged at least 30%. A window will pop up and instruct you to upgrade your watch once connected to WiFi. If you do not get this pop up window and want to check which TOS you are running on follow these steps: Swipe the watch face until you see the Settings Gear Icon. Click on the Settings Gear Icon. Scroll down to Os Update. If you see a red ball next to the Os Update text you must upgrade. You can click on that tab and check which version you are running on.

Q: Can the Camille™ call overseas numbers? How can I set up overseas numbers in the watch’s Contact?

A: Yes, you will need to set up the overseas number in the Contact through the App so your Camille™ can call overseas numbers. Check with your own local carrier to know how to call the overseas numbers. For example, T-mobile may request you to Dial "011" followed by the country code, city code (if necessary), and local number.  You'll need to input "011" followed by the country code, city code (if necessary), and local number as the Contact's number.


Q: Can I go swimming with Camille™?

A: No, the IP67 waterproof technology of any electronic product is not designed for swimming.  The technology will prevent damage to the watch if it is briefly dropped into water or becomes wet temporarily through other means.

Q: What does the waterproof IP67 rating mean?

A: The IP67 rating means the Camille™ is protected from dust and capable of withstanding water immersion between 15 cm and 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, we do not recommend wearing the watch while taking a shower, diving and swimming, as the waterproof parts of the watch may age over time, resulting in reduced water resistance protection.

Q: How is the locator accuracy of Camille™?

A: Due to the 3G reception, the locator accuracy of Camille™ is much better than that of competitors. We have adjusted the locator algorithm and it is easy to get GPS satellite positioning for outdoors. However, since it will uses a lot of battery energy to search for satellite signals, we still use the Wifi locator as the priority which can save more battery. The accuracy of the Wifi locator is within 100-500 feet.


Q: Does Camille™ fit elder children's wrists?

A: The strap can fit 7.5 inches wrist. If your child's wrist is bigger than that, you can buy an adult watch strap with a width of 22mm to replace the current one.

Q: The camera of Camille™ is 2MP. Will the photos look blurred?

A: Camille™ screen is small, so 2MP resolution is enough.

Q: Can kids transfer the photos and videos to parents?

A: Camille™ allows the kids to save or send the photos through the Messaging Center. They can shoot a video and save it on their watch but it’s not allowed to send the video through the messaging center currently. 


Q: Is the screen of Camille™ easily broken?

A: No. We have focused on the design of the screen, now the screen is wrapped around the plastic housing, so even if it were to fall to the ground accidentally, the screen would not touch the ground directly and be shattered.

Q: How long is the voice message of Camille™?

A: It can take a 1 minute recording for each voice message.

Q: Is Camille™'s video calling function smooth?

A: Very smooth especially you're connected the watch to the Wi-Fi. We have customized the software for this function and our server is in the United States that will make image transmission fast and smooth. Our engineering team is working 24/7 to make sure we can fix any issue or bug immediately.

Q: Does Camille™'s video calling feature consume a lot of battery?

A: Yes, the video call will consume more battery and it may cause the watch to heat up. We recommend keeping video calls to less than 5 minutes at a time to preserve battery life.

Q: How to maximize your Camille™ battery lifespan?

A: 1. Do not allow the battery to fully deplete.  
When you notice the watch's battery is low, plug it in as soon as possible. If you consistently allow the battery to deplete to 0%, over time your watch's battery will degrade and won’t hold a charge.

2. Don't leave your battery depleted for long periods of time. 
When the watch battery is left dead for long periods of time they risk entering a state of discharge. This will make it difficult for the battery to hold a charge in the future. Charge your Camille™ to 50% for long-term storage. The healthiest charge for a lithium ion battery seems to be about 50%. If you are going to store your Camille™ for an extended period, charge it to 50% before turning it off and storing it. This is easier on the battery than charging it to 100% or letting it drain to 0% before storage. If you think of it, turn the watch on every several months and top the battery up to 50%. 

3. Avoid extreme temperatures. 
Like most batteries, the smart watch's battery shouldn't be exposed to extreme heat or cold. Temperatures reaching over 95° F (35° C) can permanently damage the battery by decreasing it's capacity. Colder temperatures may temporarily decrease your battery's performance. The Camille™ battery's comfort zone lies between 62° to 72° F (16° to 22° C).
